Breakthrough Technology for Water Treatment Facilities
CQM Water has successfully developed and deployed an innovative electrolytic chlorine production system that generates disinfectant directly from secondary effluents. This groundbreaking approach eliminates the need for hazardous chemical transportation, storage, and handling while providing on-demand chlorine production for water treatment applications.
Key Achievements
Pilot Phase Success: Initial testing of the SRDWB-1200 system at Shafdan facility demonstrated reliable production of 0.3% hypochlorite solution (3,000 PPM) with minimal power consumption (0.50kW/h) and consistent operational parameters.
Commercial Implementation: Following pilot success, a full-scale system featuring dual SRDWB14000 reactors now produces 3 kg chlorine/hour directly from secondary effluents, successfully replacing traditional hypochlorite systems with their associated regulatory and logistical challenges.
Remote Application Deployment: The technology has proven particularly valuable for remote irrigation reservoir applications, with the first installation at Gal-on reservoir (500,000 m³ capacity) producing 1.5 kg chlorine/hour and effectively maintaining adequate disinfection levels throughout 1,000 m³/h irrigation networks.
